Boulder Mockup Guide

For onsite engravings, in order to achieve an accurate mockup we need the following:

  1. Place tape on the back of a standard size (3.5” x 2”) business card and adhere to the center of the stone.
  2. Take a picture directly straight on to the stone. NOT AT AN ANGLE.
  3. Picture MUST be saved and sent as a high resolution image. This is a setting within your camera. Make sure when emailing the image the file is NOT downsized.

A common issue is that smart phones and email settings can be set to automatically downsize the file when sending. Sending a full size file allows us to zoom in on the image and use the business card to scale the image to size. If the image resolution is too low, the business card edges become blurry and pixelated, not allowing for accurate scaling.
